The Pentagon leader said the United States would reduce the budget for buying weapons for Ukraine in 2026.
US administration plans Donald Trump to reduce the security budget for assistance in Ukraine. This was announced by United States Defense Minister Pete Hegset at the time of testimony to the United States House of Representative Committee on June 10, European Pravda reports.
In the congressman from Joseph Morrell’s democratic party about Ukraine’s security security funding, the hegset replied that “the budget for it will be reduced.”
“As you know, this administration has a completely different view of this conflict (war in Ukraine. -Ed.). We believe that peaceful negotiations are in the interests of both sides and in the interests of our country, especially considering all the confrontation of the world,” he said.
According to the hegset, Ukraine’s “success” in war has not been clearly defined, “like the path to it.”
Remember, according to the Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of George Tikho, Ukraine received from U.S. military assistance packages. There are also active negotiations for buying American weapons.
