The head of the state said that according to US president Donald Trump, Putin “won the war,” but this is not true.
“He seems to have talked about it. And I know he told some people from his environment about it. I believe this is not true. This is not true, and I mean not his word, but a real situation. It is not a success when you actually spend a million people to win a few thousand kilometers. It’s not a success,” the President said.
He explained that it was an initiative by a large number of people and the number of weapons.
“This initiative is in your hands. But it’s not a success, and I told President Trump. You’ll see that this is not a success,” Zelensky added.
According to him, if the United States and Europe stop with the help of Ukraine and get out of this situation, then the Russian Federation has the opportunity to win. At the same time, he emphasized that even without partners, it was difficult for the Russians to occupy Ukraine at the very beginning of the war.
According to him, this is what Putin wants, because he needs money for the war and “he wants to sit in the Kremlin until his death.”
“It’s in oil, its economy depends on energy. And we have to impose penalties soon. We’ve lost many years. They can introduce energy restrictions and maximum oil prices – $ 30, which is needed, no more. And we lost three years, we gave them this money,” Zelensky explained.
He added that Russia was selling a huge amount of energy in China, India, Brazil and other countries, and thanks to products produced by other countries, the Russian Federation has produced missiles.
“Both of these penalties are both again, and in banking systems, and in the defense sector, we will be honest, because without American, Taiwanese, Chinese and some European partners, without the products of these companies, without the details they made, Putin could not produce a large number of missiles,” the President emphasized.
On the question of whether the Russian Federation could win, if there was no help in America, Zelensky said Russia would likely have more opportunities for it. In addition, Ukraine will suffer more losses.
“If the United States doesn’t give us rockets, what happens? Lots of losses, more people will die,” Zelensky completed.
