The situation on the border of the region of Sumi is tense, but under the control of the defense forces of Ukraine. There is no reason for evacuation from the regional center.
Oleg Grigorov, head of the regional military administration of Sumy, announced this today, June 8, in her telegram.
Recently, the media and telegrams distribute the emotional statements of different people about the security situation in the region. I urge to focus exclusively on official sources, ”said Grigorov.
The regional authorities are in constant coordination with the military command. All decisions are made in time and responsibly, ”he added.
According to Grigorov, the military hold borders and restraint that the enemy is trying to go to a deep region.
The most intense struggles, as before, occur on the border, in particular in the communities of Junak and Khotin. The enemy is trying to expand the area of active battles, acts in small groups, but our defenders do not allow him to fix himself, ”he said.
At the same time, the border regions of the civilian population are evacuated from the border regions. Last week, almost 900 people left safer territories.
District administrations, rescuers, police, volunteer organizations participate in evacuation measures. According to Grigorov, the region has transit centers and temporary placement points – there are resources for obtaining people.
We recall that, according to the estimates of deep analysts, the enemy managed to reach a 20-kilometer distance to Sumi, which poses a threat of strokes in the FPV in the city.
