The European Commission on June 17 will publish policies on gradual refusal to import Russia’s gas import. The document was prepared under pressure from Poland, which was asserted at the rest of the long -term contracts until the end of 2027. It was known by Polskie Radio on Sunday, June 8.
According to plans, by the end of this year, EU companies are prohibited from signing new contracts for providing blue fuel from Russia, and long -term contracts must be torn before the end of 2027.
“The European Commission, though hesitating, will publish policies for EU’s disconnection from gas supplies from Russia,” the report said.
Initially, the European Commission was supposed to publish a approach for EU’s disconnection from gas from Russia in February. He was then moved in March, then in April and finally announced in May. However, emphasizing the publication, the Polish Chairmanship wants the European Commission to publish a specific draft policy as soon as possible to start work, and the Danish Chairman completed them in the second half of the year.
“The European Union enters unexplained water and awaits avalanches of Russian statements in the arbitration courts. This means that it must submit heavy arguments, as well as agree with who will have the costs for these procedures,” the publication added.
Now the highest protest of plans against plans to stop importing gas from Russia’s sound from Hungary and Slovakia, which imports raw materials through pipelines, as well as France and Belgium, who buy liquid gas in large quantities.
At the same time, most countries will suffer new policies.
Remember that despite a significant reduction in gas supply from Russia after 2022, the EU last year increased the import of liquid gas from the Russian Federation – it covers 19% of the needs of the European Union.
Earlier it was reported that the European Union had decided until 2027 to completely abandon Russia’s gas. Starting this year, the delivery will start at a promising Black Sea Field in Romania, the operator of which has signed the first contract in Germany.
