The President explained that the Day of Ukrainian Statehood will strengthen the connection of people living in many generations. He emphasized that Ukrainians have more than a thousand years of experience in building the state, culture and identity.
“Now in the many deeds of our soldiers, in the wisdom of our people in battles, even in the conversations of ordinary Ukrainians about what is happening, we see, hear and understand examples of the same characters, but hundreds of years. We see examples of the same courage, like the same attitude to life, and above all, the attitude to Ukraine and the enemy,” said Zelensky.
The head of state is sure that the Ukrainians will never give up their freedom and will not be destroyed.
“Only those who do not know history and do not feel its meaning can decide to attack us. After everything our people have gone through, after everything we have learned for a century. Ukrainians will never give up their freedom… And they will not break from within Not this time!” insisted the President.
He called on Ukrainians to preserve unity and work together for victory.
“It means we can do what previous generations could not do. This also applies to our defense in this war for freedom, and our movement towards a united Europe, to full membership of the EU, and to our ability to be one of the most modern countries in the world.

The President urged the compatriots “not to relax”, but, as in the previous five months of the war, do everything to inflict the greatest losses on the enemy and get as much support for Ukraine as possible.
