The transfer of data to the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service has occurred by the Russian company Kaspersky.
Switzerland minister Martin Pfister began an investigation into the disclosure of the Cyber Division of the Cyber Division of the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service in Russian Special Services between 2015 and 2020.
It cited the illegal transfer of FIS data to Russia’s special services, especially GRU’s military intelligence, by Russian cybersecurity company Kaspersky. Other special services have warned Swiss intelligence about it.

For PFISTER, Intelligence service is of importance for Switzerland’s protection and safety, “especially in the current global situation, characterized by uncertainty,” the country’s Ministry of Defense said.
The head of the Swiss Defense Department began an administrative investigation involving an external independent body.
FIS data indicates that from 2015 to 2020, three investigations of “incidents in the former Cyber Division” have been completed and completed.
In 2021, after an internal investigation, the FIS began repairing its cyber division. The complex repair of the FIS began on March 1, 2024.
