President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski presented the first awards of children for the future of Ukraine.
Children who received differences experienced occupation, deportation, loss of relatives, helped victims and supported the Ukrainian army and volunteer.
For example, during the Russian missile shelling, 13-year-old Kirill Ilashenko saved the passengers of the bus, who caught fire after the blow. And for almost two years Zakhar Zakhar Babak participated in actions in support of prisoners and missing soldiers after his father was captured by his father.
From the threat of an attack by Russia, the meeting had to be held in a bomb shelter, which did not prevent celebration with pizza. However, children do not need to celebrate the holidays underground.
June 4 – the day of commemoration of children who died as a result of the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.
This is the day when we stopped recalling those who have no chance of a happy childhood, which became a victim of a war, which committed suicide, future and dreams. These children did not have time to see how flowers grow in the garden, how they celebrate their birthday, how they know the world through the game and friendship. They became a symbol of the inexpressible tragedy that affected every Ukrainian family, every heart.
This day is a reminder for all of us: we cannot be indifferent. We must remember what we must protect.
