“In my opinion, only the president of the United States could stop this war. The European leaders could not convince Putin to observe the international law – the efforts of the Norman format and Minsk’s agreements were actually rejected by him,” Duda said.
Duda emphasized that the United States has no doubt in military leadership, economic and nuclear spheres. According to the President of Poland, Trump has shown the decision to complete the war, and is perhaps ready for more strict actions, especially, at the economic pressure in Russia.
“Trump has a clear perspective on how to do Russia’s invasion. The time for new tools of influence – diplomacy is depleted of itself,” Duda added.
“The USA is the largest economic, military, nuclear state. And, as Donald Trump said earlier in response to Vladimir Putin’s various threats, they both have a nuclear button, and only Donald Trump can ensure his button is working,” the Poland President added.
