The State Service of Ukraine for Combating Drugs and Drug Control yesterday, June 2, issued the first permit to the right to import the substance of the medical cannabis.
This was reported by the press service of the public service.
The permit was issued for a substance registered in Ukraine, and introduced into the state register of medicinal products of Ukraine, the department says.
On December 21, 2023, in the second reading, Verkhovna Rada supported the bill on the legalization of the medical cannabis. In February 2024, after the parliamentary resolution deviated, the law was signed by President Vladimir Zelensky. This law entered into force six months after the publication – in August 2024.
