The Antimonopoly Committee (AMCU) by the end of May began the case against the two largest manufacturers of poultry eggs in Ukraine – groups of Avangard and Ovostar Union companies – due to the signs of their anti -Competitive summary actions on developing poultry eggs for no objective reasons. This was announced by the Department’s Presser.
It was noted that in October 2024, an investigation into the causes of rising prices for poultry eggs was launched, and in April 2025, the ten largest manufacturers/sales of poultry eggs were given ordered recommendations to prevent violation of the law in protecting the economic competition.
The largest manufacturer has introduced signs of violation of competition in competition.
The AMCU noted that avant -Garde and Ovostar Union groups are the largest manufacturer of chicken eggs in the shell and, accordingly, have influenced this market.
Remember that Ukraine’s antimonopoly committee warned market participants engaged in the manufacture of poultry eggs in increasing prices and creating conditions for the emergence of an artificial deficiency.
As reported, in April, prices for chicken eggs after a growth period in February-March over the past two weeks have been reduced by 5.2%.
