Ukraine and Russia agree with the exchange of “all for all” seriously injured and sick prisoners of war, as well as young soldiers up to 25 years old.
According to the results of the second cycle of negotiations in Istanbul, the delegation of Ukraine and Russia has agreed with the exchange of prisoners of “all for all” in the two categories and bodies of the dead. This was said by defense minister Rustem Umarov in a briefing on Monday, June 2.
“We assert the release of all the prisoners and the return of the kids who were kidnapped. On the issue of the release of war inmates, we agreed to focus on specific categories, and not the numbers,” Umarov said.
He made it clear that once Ukraine and Russia agreed to exchange “all for all” seriously injured and severely sick war.
“The second category is the young soldiers aged 18 to 25 years. All. We also agreed to return the bodies of 6 thousand for 6 thousand dead soldiers,” the minister said.
He also said that Ukraine invited Russia to hold a meeting of leaders from June 20 to 30.
“We are strictly convinced that all major issues can only be resolved at the level of the leaders. And the meeting between the leaders can take place with the involvement of other leaders such as the US president. And we believe that the additional work between delegations makes sense if it aims to prepare the meeting of the leaders. We invited the Russian side to hold the meeting before the end of this end of the end of the Russians negotiations, ” – – says Umarov.
As you know, on May 16, the first negotiation of negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation in Istanbul took place. The only result is a agreement on the exchange of prisoners in the “1000 per 1000” format.
Remember that now Russian representatives need to show the so -called “Memorandum” in their vision in stopping conditions.
Earlier, the United States received measures for ceasefire from Ukraine. This is the result of recent negotiations in Paris and London. The document contains 22 requirements.
