EU says where 500 million aid will go

Thanks to the fifth tranche of 500 million euros, the EU’s contribution to the European Peace Fund for Ukraine will now reach 2.5 billion euros.

The Council of the EU formally decided to provide Ukraine with an additional 500 million euros of military aid. 490 million euros will be spent on military equipment. This was reported by the press service of the European Council.

It was noted that the remaining 10 million euros were allocated to cover the supply of equipment and consumables, such as personal protective equipment, first aid kits and fuel.

It was also reported that thanks to the fifth tranche worth 500 million euros, the EU’s contribution under the European Peace Support Fund for Ukraine will now reach 2.5 billion euros.

Recall that the EU countries agreed on the fifth tranche in the amount of 500 million euros of military aid to Ukraine.

It has also been reported that the EU tightly controls the supply of arms to Ukraine. At the same time, the Europeans financed the supply of weapons based on the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
