In the context of the search for additional financing sources for the army and economic strengthening, Daniil of the Hetmans draws attention to the size of the shadow sector in Ukraine and the potential for its discovery.

GetMantsev noted that in the shadow sector from 30 to 50% of the economy, and in individual industries this figure could reach 60%. He emphasized that such a situation prevents the country’s economic development.
He also believes that the end of the economy from the shadows can be one of the sources of additional financing for the Ukrainian army. In this context, he recalled that the earlier MP Yaroslav zheleznyak expressed the deficiency of 400 billion hryvnias for the purchase of weapons.
According to GetMantsev estimates, at the expense of explosion steps in 2025, it is possible to ensure additional state budget revenues worth more than 164 billion hryvnias.
Previously, GetMantsev said budget receipts from foreign IT companies that provide electronic services in Ukraine show confident growth. For five months of 2025, nearly 7 billion hryvnias was received in the state treasury – 1.8 billion more against last year.
