The commander of one of the military units of Dnipropetrovsk forced military personnel to work on private construction for his relatives.
The investigation showed that in 2022, Lieutenant Colonel Lieutenant Colonel began the construction of two cottages for his mother and mother. However, instead of employees, he attracted subordinate military personnel. In case of refusal of the fighters to work for him, threatening them to send them to the zone of military operations. This was reported on May 29 by the State Bureau of Investigations.
It turned out that with some frequency the military left the place and arrived for construction. It lasted almost three years. The soldiers were charged with the salary of military personnel, despite the fact that they were actually absent in the service.
In November 2024, investigators conducted searches on the construction site, which was on the active phase and seized documents on the payment of funds, daily outfits, personal files of military personnel, mobile phones, as well as gross records related to construction. It turned out that the state was caused by more than 500 thousand ATUR.
The commander of the military unit was accused of excessing power and official powers in conditions of martial law, which caused serious consequences – part 5 of art. 426–1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The attacker threatens up to 12 years in prison.
