The German government has officially confirmed the visit of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. The head of the state will visit Berlin on May 28, NTV reports.
According to the German government press secretary, Stefan Cornelius, Chancellor Friedrich Mertz will accept Zelensky with military awards in the office.
“The visit was assigned to the support of Germany in Ukraine and efforts to achieve the ceasefire,” he said.
After the negotiations, a joint dinner will take place, a combined assembly assembly is scheduled for 13:30. After that, both sides will meet with representatives of German companies.
“In the afternoon, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with federal president Francom -Valter Steinmeer,” Cornelius said.
Earlier, the media reported that the new German government had decided to classify the supply of weapons for Ukraine after three years of extensive transparency in this regard.
