The Ministry of Defense State State Operator agency’s rear agency presented the defense department and commands of logistic and medical forces measures to update the food catalog for the armed forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The purpose of the initiative is to optimize the scope to maintain its difference.
According to the Director of the Department of Getting the Ukraine Gleb Kanevsky Ministry of Defense policy, last year it was only possible to save on food support about 6 billion UAHs over 29 billion UAH.
It is noted that the review of the catalog is based on data obtained during the digitalization of the food consumption process.
In connection with active military operations and changing requests from military personnel, it is proposed to exclude positions that are not actually ordered from the catalog due to transportation, storage or consumption difficulties. It is, in particular, about some meat, dairy, vegetable and fruits positions. For example, it is planned to replace raspberries with blueberries, chilled pork and some fishing positions – slightly frozen, etc.
“As practice shows, due to a longer period of consumption, the military, in the presence of an alternative, mainly choose meat and fish positions in frozen form, and not chilled. Berries, in particular raspberries, require special conditions for transportation and storage, therefore, they often arrived in improper quality. As for the fish, it is planned to expand the assortment of precisely Ukrainian manufacturers, in the particular add calibrated fish, cleaned and frozen frozen fish of local production.
In addition, there is a request to add new positions to the catalog, which is currently not provided, but are asked to the staff. Among them are marshmallows, halva, cupcakes, flood flood steaks, de -water in containers up to 6 liters, etc.
