Austrian Justice Minister Alma Tsadich announced the expansion of the jurisdiction of the Austrian authorities.
“War criminals must know that they will be held accountable for their actions, especially at the international level. We are already supporting the Ukrainian authorities and the International Criminal Court in the investigation of war crimes,” said the minister .
It was noted that earlier prosecutors could investigate war crimes committed abroad and related to Austria. An investigation can now be initiated, for example, in the event of the arrival of refugees, if a causal link to a war crime can be established.
Recall that representatives of 45 countries agreed to help investigate Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine.
