Trump signed decisions on nuclear and science technology

US president Donald Trump has signed commands aimed at changing scientific and nuclear technologies. On Friday, May 23, the White House website reported.

One of the signed documents has to do with “Revival of Nuclear Energy” in the United States. The command for testing the advanced structures of reactors in the National Laboratories of the Ministry of Energy, simplifies the process of obtaining licenses from the commission for nuclear regulations and opens the possibility of developing nuclear facilities in federal lands.

“We will bring back a strong nuclear -industry base, build a safe and sovereign chain of fuel supply and lead the future world, which will work with the American nuclear energy,” said Michael Kramios, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the White House.

The second command has to do with the introduction of the “Gold Standard of Science”. The document indicates the principles of transparency, openness to criticism, testing of results and lack of conflict of interests in scientific skills.

“By this command, we will restore public confidence in science,” the official report said.

The White House note that all federal scientific agencies should be in line with their activities in new standards.
