The owner woke up and saw a ship in the middle of his garden, falling on the shore just a few meters from his house.
A Norway resident was discovered early on the morning of May 22, a 135-meter shipment NCL Salten actually in his garden. The ship sits in the aground and almost falls home. It was reported by newspapers The Guardian And Bbc.
The village vessel gathered after entering the Trondheim Fjord on the way to the city of Orcanger.
The residents of the city saw how the ship at a speed of 16 knots (about 30 kilometers per hour) was right on the coast and stopped at Johan Gelberg’s garden, where the last house was almost touched by the latter.
His neighbor Yostein Jorgesen woke up from the sound of an approaching ship. He ran to call Gelberg at the door, but he didn’t open. Jorgensen then decided to call. When Gelberg woke up and looked out the window, he saw the ship’s nose in his garden.
“I have to raise my head to see his top. It’s not realistic,” the man said.
Gelberg has been living in this house for 25 years. He noticed that common ships were turned on the fjord left or right, but this one was straightforward.
“Five more meters to the south – and he’ll fly to the room. It’s a huge new neighbor, but he’s about to get out of here,” Norwegian joked.
There are 16 crew members aboard the ship registered in Cyprus, including Norwegians, Lithuanians, Ukrainians and Russians. No one was injured. No reports of wounds or spill oils.
Police are now conducting an investigation and found a suspect aboard the ship. Among the possible causes of the incident is a technical malfunction and human mistake.
The North Sea Container Line reports that “there is no reason to believe that intentionally.” The announcement of suspicion is called “a regular police procedure.”
The first attempt to pull the ship was unsuccessful, so it was very far from the shallow to the next flow.
