Underground schools (anti -radiation shelters) were built exclusively on Ukraine’s frontline territories.
In Ukraine, there are 15 underground schools in front -line regions. By the end of the year, another 180 was planned. It was reported by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadezhda Kuzmichova in the air of Telemazaphon on Friday, May 23.
“We have over 13 thousand schools in Ukraine, if we talk about the whole country. Nearly 80% of schools have been given a variety of civil protection facilities or the simplest quarters,” he said.
The remaining 20% include schools in Kharkov, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Nikolaev, Chernihiv and Sumy regions, where the simplest shelters do not guarantee safety, and anti -radiation shelters should be built.
According to Kuzmichova, underground schools (anti -radiation dwellings) were built exclusively in frontline areas.
“If we talk about the number of already built, then there are 15 of them. Especially, the Zaporizhzhya region is eight,” said the deputy minister.
There are nearly two hundred more than construction, and the plans of the year to commission about 180 facilities.
Remember that throughout the region they plan to build 11 underground schools, four of them – directly to the center of the region.
In February, the fourth school underground was opened in Zaporozhye. In general, in the Zaporizhzhya region they plan to create 21 underground schools for the training of 60 thousand children.
