Germany is building a Lithuanian battle tank brigade to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank. Germany aims to complete the formation of the brigade by the end of 2027, where up to 5,000 military personnel will serve. Currently, there are about 400 German soldiers in the area. The decision to deploy an entire brigade in Lithuania was made as part of the renewal of the NATO defense structure after a full -scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
