In general, more than 60% of all the costs of the state’s general funds are spent on safety and defense.
Within the four months of 2025, 1.2 trillion UAH from the state’s general funds were spent on priority costs. This was announced by government leader Denis Shmygal.
According to him, the UAH 365 billion was spent on salaries for military personnel, nearly 84 billion UAH – on the purchase of equipment, weapons, ammunition, and defense forces.
“In general, more than 60% of all state -budget funds costs are spent on safety and defense. The state fulfills all obligations to our defenders timely and intact. It will continue,” Shmygal said.
He added that from civil costs was the most important concern in the social sector. For more than 50 billion UAH in 4 months, the NSZU medical warranty program has been funded. Almost 213 billion UAH – for social payments, benefits, scholars. The State has sent nearly 54 billion UAH to place for our communities to be strong and capable.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine had spent two months of 2025 336.6 billion UAH from the total state budget fund for safety and defense.
Remember that the head of the Ministry of Finance Sergey Marchenko did not see the reliable signs that next year’s budget is free from significant military costs.
