In September 2024, more than 1000 students were deducted from Lutsk National Technical University. This is the main concern for men. This is said by Lutsk NTU Irina Vakhovich insider media.
According to him, at the beginning of an entire war, many people entered universities to obtain a second or third education and have a delay from mobilization. But subsequently, some changes were made in law, and now students do not have deferral rights.
“That is, you can study as many times as you want, well, the Constitution does not forbid it, but they do not give a delay. Therefore, I will say that we have many students who really want to know how to get this delay. And as we consider, we will reduce 100+ in September 2024. Why?
At the same time, the rector noted that students who submitted the documents provided the service, and not “some kind of protection.”
“Who are we? I see, the documents came to me, and you should take this person (student-ed.), Because he went on stage. We obviously took these students. This does not mean that we have given them some protection. We first provided the service that they came to us. But the state suits it all, and now is nothing.
In general, from April to August 2024, 23,448 men under the age of 30 were evicted from universities in Ukraine.
Remember that the Ministers’ Cabinet approved a bill, which provides changes to the policies for providing a deferral from drafting the army for students and teachers.
