The defendant’s tasks are to collect and provide airport security information in South -East of Poland.
The accusation was given to the court against a man planning to help Russian foreign intelligence prepare an attempt at the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported on May 20 of the Poland Prosecutor’s Office.
The suspect was arrested in April 2024 as a result of the cooperation of Poland and Ukraine law enforcement agencies.
The prosecutor of the Mazovets of the Department of Organized Crime and Corruption in Warsaw today has filed an accusation against detainee in the district court.
He was accused of committing a crime, consisting of declared “readiness to act in the interest of foreign intelligence against the Republic of Poland.”
According to the investigation, the man established contacts with the Russians directly involved in the war against Ukraine. These actions should help, in particular, in the special Russian services of planning a possible attempt at the life of the leader of a foreign state, that is, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

The detainee faces imprisonment for up to 8 years.
