Zelensky said the Vatican could be a “very desirable platform” for negotiations.
“Of course, I’m not going to compare it to Istanbul or, maybe, the platform that our friends can offer to Swiss, however, I think Papa Leo can really help us. And this is a very important message I heard from him during our bilateral meeting, which has been very effective,” the President of Ukraine added.
He emphasized that Ukraine did not choose an alternative to Turkey.
“We look from the point of view of the result when the host side, preparing the meeting, can have and adjust the appropriate level of delegation,” Zelensky said.
According to him, Ukraine or that site wants it to offer the highest possible level of representation for negotiations.
“If these are technical teams, then the highest level of technical teams. If we are willing to meet the leaders, then the true leaders decide,” the head of the state.
