In the Sumy 202 region, settlements are evacuated.
Of these settlements, 60% of the population have already been evacuated, but as of May 19, more than 4,000 people remain in the most risky communities. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration of Sumy Oleg Grigorov, according to local publications “Okhtyrka Online” and “Panorama”.
It was noted that from the communities the Voroshbiya was whitewashed, of which on May 5, the evacuation increased from the shelling of 65 people remained. In the community, there are only more than 3,000 inhabitants and 835 inhabitants in Vorozbian.
And from the new settlement, where on May 13 the mandatory evacuation began, 75 people have already left, two of them. There are 274 inhabitants in the village, of which 24 are children.
We will recall that in March, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Kursk operation has reached its main goal – to postpone most of the Russian troops from the destinations of Pokrovsky, Kharkiv and Sumi. According to him, thanks to the operation of Kursk, the situation in the directions of Zovovsky and Harkiva “stabilized”.
