There are a number of important issues that can be resolved exclusively during the assembly of leaders.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Kislitsa, after negotiations with Istanbul, emphasized that the initial success should be fixed, and the pressure in Russia should continue. Ukrinform reported this Friday, May 16.
There are many important issues that can be solved only at the leaders’ meeting.
“The initial success of the negotiations today has not been fixed. This means that the pressure in the Russian Federation must continue. We should not relax at this stage. And there are many issues that can be resolved, unless leaders can meet,” Kislitsa said.
The diplomat announced the hope that the summit to the highest level will take place soon.
“Due to the complexity of the issues and nature of the Russian Federation, where almost all separate issues standing in the stake can only resolve President Putin, we hope to touch the climax soon,” he added.
The diplomat confirmed that one of the positive results of the negotiation was a possible exchange of 1000 per 1000 people.
“The fact that one of the results of the discussion today is a possible exchange of 1000 people per 1000 is good news, potentially good news for a thousand families in Ukraine. And at least this result we have to come here, guided by our leaders,” the deputy minister summed.
We added that immediately after negotiations in Istanbul, the head of the Ministry of Defense Rustem Umarov also said that the Zelensky and Putin meeting organization should be the next step in negotiations between Ukraine and Russian Federation
“Our president expects to take a high level, and I think the meeting organization at the level of the leaders should be the next step and this will be our next step,” the official emphasized.
Remember that today Ukraine and Russia will hold the first direct negotiation in Istanbul for three years. By the time they lasted, the media learned about the unacceptable -acceptable conditions passed by Russia.
Then the leaders of Ukraine, France, Germany, Great Britain and Poland conducted a joint conversation with US President Donald Trump.
