Bridget Brink resigned because of the foreign presidential policy of President Donald Trump.
Bridget Brink left the US ambassador to Ukraine because of President Donald Trump’s policy against Ukraine. He wrote about it in a pillar for the publication of the Detroit Free Press on Friday, May 16.
“I just returned home to Michigan three years in the most difficult position in my life – the US ambassador to Ukraine, where I supported our democratic allies in the brutal fight, unspecified raid on Russia,” the ex -official wrote.
Brink emphasized that he worked with the diplomatic service under the board of five presidents – both Republicans and Democrats – but Washington’s current policy could not be accepted.
“Due to the beginning of Trump’s administration, the course of foreign policy is focused on pressure on the victim – Ukraine – rather than the aggression – Russia. I can no longer implement this policy and I consider it a duty to resign,” the diplomat said.
Brink said he saw the consequences of the war with his own eyes and warned that Russian concessions were threatening not only in Ukraine, but also the security of all NATO allies.
“If we allow Putin to restore the boundaries, he will not stop in Ukraine. His goal is to restore Imperial’s past, and this brings a direct threat to the security of our allies,” Ex -Posol said.
Remember that in April it was known that Bridget resigned. In early May, instead of brinking, the temporary lawyer in US activities Julie Davis, who was also the US ambassador to Cyprus, arrived in Ukraine.
