On May 9, Kharkov’s Kharkov district court punished the case of secretion of a crime related to a deadly accident that occurred in February 2022 at Kyiv -Kharkov -Dovzhansky Highway with the participation of a court of businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky.

Chronology of events
The investigation noted that on February 9, 2022 at 22:55, a Badm LLC employee, a Native Ukrainian, while driving Mercedes-Benz G-63 AMG, moved on the highway at a speed of 113 km/h.
In a wet section of the road, he ran to a pedestrian. As a result of the collision, the pedestrian died in the area. The examination recorded many injuries: skull fractures, spine, bone -but, pelvic bones, as well as ruptures of vital organs – heart, lungs, liver, spleen and kidneys.
Understanding the seriousness of the consequences, the driver at 23:21 was in contact with the folk dergachi Alexander Berezhnaya and asked to bring another car to him -Porsche.
Between 00:25 and 00:34 on February 10, carefully passed the scene of the accident, where police have worked. At the gas station nearby, he learned about human death.
At 01:20 he reached the Mercedes driver, who temporarily announced the accident without specifying the results, and offered to blame himself, and the careful conclusion.
On the morning of February 10, around 09:30, he turned to the police with the lawyer, saying he was driving at the time of the accident. According to him, he moved at a speed of 100 km/h, felt a blow, stopped after 100-150 m, checked the car, but, he discovered anything, he decided that he had shot the animal, and continued.
However, the investigation found that the care was not a Mercedes-Benz driver at the time of corn, so he canceled the suspicion.
Decision of the court
The court found both men guilty of hides a serious crime (Part 4 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 396 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Driver also tried The victim’s abandonment is at risk (Part 1 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), but due to the expiry of law of limitations, he has been released from liability under this article.
The accused asked for sin and repented. The court appointed them for three years in prison with a year’s trial period.
The verdict can appeal to the Kharkov Court of Appeal within 30 days.
