In the Russian Federation, two Ukrainians were convicted of trying to weaken the pillar of troops in Zaporozhye

The Southern District military court in Rostov-on-Don (Russia) punished residents of the Zaporizhzhya region Oleg Zavgorodny and Fedor Trifonov of 24 and 17 years in prison in the case of preparation of undermining the Russian military pillar. It was reported by the mediazon that there was a reference to the court’s press service.

It was noted that the 32 -Year -old Zavgorodny was found guilty for five articles -participating in a terrorist team, preparing for terrorist attacks, illegal labor and transfer of explosives and undergoing the practice of terrorist activities. The 46-year-old Trifonov has been accused of both articles except in the practice of terrorism.

According to a Russian investigation, after the onset of Russia’s entire -scale invasion of Ukraine, Zavgorodny allegedly “entered the terrorist community” (which is not specified). It is said that from May to October 2022 he went through “Training methods for making explosives in the city of Zaporozhye.”

Trifonov is said to have joined the “terrorist community” at Zapgorodny’s suggestion, which gained components for making explosives in Zaporozhye and Melitopol. In these components, according to the FSB, the Ukrainians created an explosive device and on November 4, 2022 it was transported to a section of the road, where the Russian military pillar should be passed. However, the explosion did not happen, as Russian security forces stopped men.

As stated in the decision of the appeal published on the LeFortovo District Court website of Moscow, the criminal case against the Ukrainians opened on January 18, 2023 -the same day, according to the document, they were confined and sent to a pre -trial detention center. Where they were from the moment of restraint in the Zaporizhzhya region in 2022 was unknown. For the Southern District Court, for consideration of the merits, the case against Trifonov and Zavgorodny was received last year in September.

Remember that the second military court of the Western district has punished 30-year-old Vadim Chalog from KYIV to 16 years of strict regime “for sending parcels with 900 grams of explosives to three colonels of the Russian Ministry of Defense.”

It is also reported that the Russian court has illegally punished seven Prisoners in Ukrainian for participating in hostility in the Kursk region. Two of them received 15 years in a maximum security colony, the remaining war inmates – 16 years.
