Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky’s president plans to participate in the mass inauguration of the newly elected Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican on May 18, if it is possible to make a visit. This was announced by President Andrei Ermak’s office leader in an interview with Reuters on Tuesday, May 13.
The head of the state was present at the Vatican on Sunday, but Ukraine had other important meetings, Ermak said, referring to negotiations in Turkey this week.
“Of course, it was hard to be confident during the war, but I knew he would be happy in Rome that day,” he added.
The OP leader also said the President of Ukrainians were ready to organize with other world leaders on the sides of Pope Mass: “This is a great place for such meetings. The meeting confirmed this to Trump.”
