The main intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed data on the new Russian cruise missile – S8000 “Bandrol”.
It was established that the developer of the missiles is the Entelastic enterprise Kronstadt. Its main carrier is the unmanned vehicle of the same company. The product is also adapted for the use of MI-28H shock helicopters, the ON is indicated in the message published in the Gur Telegram-Channel.
It is noted that the features of this missile consist of its ability to perform turns with a smaller radius than in typical Russian-made cruise missiles (X-101, 3M-14, 9M727, X-69), while maintaining a characteristic trajectory of a cruise missile.
Banderol is equipped with a combat part of up to 150 kg; It can overcome a distance of up to 500 km at a speed of 500 km/h. Aviation kerosene is used as fuel, ”Gur noted.
The use of foreign components in the missile, including:
- The Swiwin SW800PRO reactive engine (China) is an aircraft modeling engine, which is sold even through online sites (estimated cost in AliExpress-16,000 US dollars);
- Australian telemetry module RFD900X or a Chinese copy;
- inertial navigation system, probably Chinese origin;
- Murat (Japan) batteries;
- Dynamixel MX-64ar Servos (Robotis, South Korea);
- Comecade-M8 CRP-Anthena (RF, VNIR-PROGRESS “) is also used in” Garanii “, UMPC, UMPB;
- Almost two dozen microchips of American, Chinese, Swiss, Japanese and South Korean manufacturers.
Most of the database of foreign electronic components for this missile passes through the network of chips and DIP – one of the largest Russian electronics distributors, Gur noted. – In total, more than 20 key components of the S8000 missile were determined, as well as about 30 enterprises involved in production or supplies.
