Lukashenka said that this idea first came to him, and not to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Self-proclaimed Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko says he has long dreamed of creating a Slavic state. He said this in an interview with France-Presse, the Pool of the First Telegram channel reports.
“I was the one who dreamed of a Slavic state. They pushed the idea of ”Russian world” at one time. I have always said since the 90s that there are Slavic states. I saw Poles, Slovaks, Bulgarians and others there. And no we must lose this connection. Yes, everyone lives in their own state. But we are Slavs,” said Lukashenka.
According to him, this idea first came to him, and not to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I talked about it. Therefore, Putin did not talk about any pan-Slavic state and did not dream of it. You have already done it,” he said.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that without a dictatorship in Belarus, citizens “will be naked.”
It was also reported that Lukashenko rejected the possibility of integrating Belarus into the Russian Federation.
