The agreement will strengthen the relationship between the United States and Great Britain in the coming year, Donald Trump said.
The United States concludes a trade agreement with the UK. This is the first of such a document since the American President Donald Trump introduced further duties against almost all countries of the world. He reported it on Social Network X on Thursday, May 8.
“The agreement with the United Kingdom is complete and comprehensive, which will strengthen the relationship between the United States and Great Britain for many years to come. Thanks to our long history and general loyalty, it is a great honor for us that the UK is our first announcement,” Trump wrote.
According to him, as part of a British agreement, the American side will receive “$ 6 billion from 10% of tariffs, $ 5 billion in the form of new export opportunities for our large ranch, farmers and manufacturers.”
According to Trump, parties have come up with “zones for trading aluminum and steel, and will also create a safe system for providing pharmaceutical products.”
He also announced “many other agreements that are in serious stages of negotiations.”
Remember, on April 2, Trump announced the beginning of a trade war at the same time in all states of the world, introducing duties from 10% to 50% for imports in the United States, depending on the country of origin.
But on April 9, Trump said he established a 90-day pause for the introduction of tariffs for countries who decided not to introduce the glass steps.
