The Russian invaders hope to annex a fifth of the entire territory of Ukraine in September of this year with the help of pseudo-referendums, notes the Western publication.

The head of Russia’s ruling regime, Vladimir Putin, plans to annex a fifth of Ukraine in mid-September through a so-called “referendum.” This was reported by the Bloomberg news agency on Thursday, July 21, citing its own sources.

The media said that the “voting” should take place in the temporarily occupied parts of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

The issue of the annexation of the territories of Ukraine is handled by the head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kiriyenko.

The sources also said that the Russian invaders wanted to annex the territories they could conquer before September.

“If Russia succeeds in annexing all territories not controlled by Kyiv, Ukraine will lose about a fifth of its territory, in particular, land communication with Crimea and major transport routes for Ukrainian exports to Black Sea,” the news agency summarized.

Recall that US officials reported that Russia plans to annex the occupied territory of Ukraine in the fall of 2022.

It was previously reported that the United States will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package, which will include a batch of HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and ammunition for them.
