The American president says Yemen promised him not to attack the courts in the Red Sea, and the United States was “ready to believe them.”
Yemeni Husitian Rebels are said to have informed the United States about the intent to stop attacking ships in the Red Sea. The Husites are allegedly “refusing to fight further”, and in Washington they will “respect” this decision. US president Donald Trump said at a meeting with Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House on Tuesday, May 6.
“We will stop the bombing. They give up … We will take their word for them that they will no longer drop the ships, and this is what we have achieved,” the American leader.
State Secretary Marco Rubio added that the bombing of the Husites is associated with freedom of shipping to the Red Sea.
The Husites, who were on the eve of the strokes in Israel, did not comment on Trump’s statement.
As you know, the Husites since the fall of 2023 have been attacking commercial and military vehicles in the Red Sea region, accused of supporting Israel – in protest against its military operation in Gaza.
Remember that the Husites announced the introduction of Israel’s complete air block in response to the Israeli government’s decision to expand military operations in Gaza.
