The Verkhovna Rada Committee on International Policy supported the ratification as a whole and in general an agreement on the creation of an investment fund between Ukraine and the United States.
This was reported today, May 6, on their pages on social networks by deputies of people Irina Gerashko from the “Solidarity of the Euro” and Yaroslav Zheleznyak from the voice.
It is noted that 11 members of the committee (from the “servants of the people” and “homeland”) voted.
The deputy people Andriy Sharaskin abstained, and two representatives of the “Solidarity of the Euro” (Gerashenko and Maria Ionova) did not participate in the vote. According to Gerashenko, the “Solidarity of Euro” will make a political decision to vote for an agreement after a meeting with government officials.
We are waiting for a meeting of the faction with government officials, we have many questions about the content of the agreement and based on answers – we make a political decision regarding the vote, ”she said.
Zheleznyak noted that the text of the decision of the committee was adopted:
- Any additional agreements on the creation of the reconstruction fund cannot contradict this Agreement;
- This Agreement is valid throughout Ukraine within the framework of international recognized boundaries.
Ratification of the agreement in the Verkhovna Hall is expected on May 8.
