Recently made “positive” statements, as the future deal between Washington and Beijing should be “fair,” the head of the White House was emphasized.
US president Donald Trump said he is willing to “reduce the roles of Chinese imports at some point, as the current restrictions are so high that the two leading economies in the world have almost stopped trade relations. He said this in an interview with the NBC News.
Trump noted that China recently made “positive” statements, while emphasizing that the future transaction between Washington and Beijing should be “fair”.
“We introduced 145% of duties. No one heard about it. And we, in fact, broke trade relationships, introducing high duties. And it was normal. We started from the beginning. It means we’re not missing,” the White House leader.
According to the President, the United States has been lost to trillion dollars for trade with China.
“Now they really want to make a deal. Let’s see what it’s all, but it should be an honest deal. But think about it. We lost the trillion dollars.”
At the same time, Trump admitted that a reduction in duties was possible.
“At some point, I will reduce them, because if not, you can’t do business with them. And they really want to do business. Listen, their economy is really in a bad mood. Their economy has collapsed,” he said
The president also added that in the USA, the small business claims to be complaining that “Chinese tariffs are harmful to them.”
Remember, China suggested that the EU unite against Trump. The total relationship with China’s trade and the EU forms more than one third of the world’s general trade.
But eventually, Beijing called Trump to cancel the duties and “right mistakes.”
