Many of our allies and friends are celebrated on May 8 as Victory Day, but we did more than any other country to achieve a victorious result in the Second World War, ”said Trump.
It was renamed May 8 on Victory Day in World War II and November 11 – on Victory Day in the First World War, he added.
Trump emphasized that the United States won both world wars.
No one was close to us by force, courage or military brilliance, but we never celebrate anything – this is because we no longer have leaders who know how to do it! We will begin to celebrate our victories again! Trump said.
Western countries note the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II on May 8. In different countries, this date has different names – Victory Day in Europe, Victory Day over fascism and much more. In Ukraine, May 8 is a day of memoirs and victories over Nazism in World War II.
On May 9, Victory Day is celebrated in Russia and in several other posts -Soviets, as well as in Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After the victory over Germany, the second world lasted several months – before the surrender of Japan on September 2.
