Rescuers reported that the roof of an 8-story residential building at 40 Leninsky Prospekt was on fire.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that around 400 people were evacuated from their homes. At the same time, a person was stuck in the elevator during the fire.
It was reported that the attic caught fire first. The fire spread from the roof to the apartments on the upper floors. A helicopter was brought in to extinguish the fire.
“Information about the victims has not yet been received,” – said the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It is known that the burning house was built in 1959. The repair of the roof is planned for 2030-2032, and the repair of the fire water pipeline is also expected in the same period. In this building there are a number of shops, as well as the office of the private security department of the district police battalion.
