US president Donald Trump said Russia will not try to “get the whole Ukraine”, because the Kremlin Vladimir Putin has respected him “as an American colleague.” Trump said this in an interview with ABC on Tuesday, April 29.
“I think he respects me, and I believe that certainly because of me he can’t get Ukraine, even though his decision, his choice is available to all Ukraine,” Trump said.
The Republican also added that he believed Putin’s desire to stop the war in Ukraine. According to Trump, Putin could “fool his head” a little on the issue of ending peace.
Remember, on April 26, Donald Trump suggested that Russian leader Vladimir Putin did not want to stop the war in Ukraine and therefore “he should fight him differently.”
