The lawyer, who became a politician, gained 89.77% of the votes of the party’s primaries, ensuring most of the votes needed to avoid the second rotation of the election.

Former South Korean democratic party leader Lee Jae Mön, who presides for ratings before the upcoming president’s election, won party primaries. Yonhap reported it on Sunday, April 27th.

The human rights activist, who became a politician, received 89.77% of the vote, allowing him to immediately provide a nomination without the need for a second round.

Lee emphasized that restoration of the economy is its priority, and has also expressed readiness for negotiations in North Korea.

This is the highest result of primaries among candidates from the democratic party from South Korea’s democratization in 1987.

The second was the governor of the province of Koongi Kim Don Yong with a result of 6.87%, the third place was taken by the former governor of the southern province of Kyonsan Namdo Kim Kyung SU, who gained 3.36%.

“I will take responsibility for humility for the achievement of national unity, both of the political mission and the highest priority of the President,” Je Mön said in a speech after the announcement of the results.

Remember, on December 31, the court issued a warrant of arrest. And on January 15, 2025 he was arrested. The prosecutor’s office accused Yuna of trying to try the coup. The Constitution’s court approved the President’s impeachment.

The South Korean government approved on June 3 as the President’s exceptional election.
