The next step, according to the head of the White House, must be a meeting of representatives of the same state at the highest level for signing the agreement.
US president Donald Trump said negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are in the final stage, and the parties are about to reach the agreement. Trump reported this on Saturday night, April 26, on his social network reality in society, after reaching Rome at the farewell ceremony with Pope Francis.
According to him, most of the key issues were agreed, and the next step should be meeting representatives of the same state at the highest level to terminate the potential agreement.
“He just got to Rome. A good day of negotiations and meetings in Russia and Ukraine. They are close to agreement, and now both parties must meet to the highest level to end. Most of the key points are agreed,” he wrote.
Remember, President Vladimir Zelensky said Ukraine did not recognize Russia’s occupation of Crimea. In this regard, the American leader said Zelensky’s position was “involved in peace negotiations in Russia.”
According to Trump, Crimea is recognized as Russian as part of a peace agreement between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
