Biden to hold summit with African leaders

The summit will highlight the importance of US-Africa relations and increase cooperation on common global priorities, the US president said.

US President Joe Biden will host the US-Africa Summit. This was reported on the White House website on Wednesday, July 20.

“I look forward to hosting leaders from across the African continent in Washington on December 13-15, 2022 for the US-Africa Summit,” Biden said, adding that the summit “will be based on our shared values .”

The head of state noted that the summit will highlight the importance of US-African relations and expanding cooperation on common global priorities.

Recall that last week the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed a special representative for the Middle East and Africa. They became Maxim Subh.

Also, before the end of the year, the first in the history of Ukraine regional tour of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba to the states of Sub-Saharan Africa is planned.
