The European Commissioner on Defense Andryus Cubilyus believes that Sweden can rule out the EU re -equipment process. On Sunday, April 20, he said during a visit to the country, directed by STV.
He noted that Europe is experiencing an uninhabited increase in the needs of the weapons, and that Sweden -like states are certain that others should rule.
“Thanks to a strong defense industry and active re -equipment, Sweden can be an example for other European Union members,” Kutilyus said.
He now explained that the European defense industry is already in the process and has encountered problems due to the lack of a single domestic market, leading to the fact that “European countries have spent a large sum out of Europe.”
“We have little time for the development of our defense capabilities. The intelligence services of EU countries are predicting that Russia can experience Article 5 of NATO until 2030,” the Commissar added.
Earlier, Sweden announced the move to Ukraine a 19 -year military assistance package. This is a record in volume – about $ 1.6 billion. The package includes, in particular, the support of Ukrainian Air Defense, Artillery, Satellite Communications and Marine potential.
