Over the past two months, Russia losses in front have not reduced, but have increased even faster than before.
The number of complex Russian losses in the Castle War against Ukraine until April 18, 2025 was 103,275. The corresponding list is updated by Mediazon and the Russian Air Force Service.
“Over the past two months, as Russia has been talking to the United States about a possible peaceful regulating, front losses have not refused, but rather grow faster than ever before,” the article said.
Journalists came to this conclusion, calculating the dynamics of Russian military necrologues. They used to visit special US supervisor Donald Trump Steve Whitkoff in Moscow on February 11 as a reference point.
“Within two and a half months, where Russia and the United States negotiations have been published, more necrologues about the Russian military have been published than the past three months of fighting. In particular, in February, on average, 234 necrologies have been published in one day, which is one and a half times more than the average indicators of 2024,” said the publication. “
At the same time, 52% of all dead dead were people who were not connected to the army during the entire Russian invasion of Ukraine. 16% of all famous dead were prisoners who came to the forefront from the correction colonies. Another 12% of the dead were transferred, and 25% were volunteers who signed a contract with the Russian and Rosguardia army after February 24, 2022.
The largest number of dead soldiers of the Russian army in the war in Ukraine was recorded in Bashkortostan – 4637 people.
Also, military personnel cost 17% of all who died in the Russian army rank – 4,919 people were officials.
At the same time, real losses, obviously, are higher than being installed through open resources.
“Military experts who interviewed us suggest that our review of Russian cemeteries, military memories and necrologers can cover from 45% to 65% of the true number of dead,” journalists wrote.
Due to the above assessment, the true number of dead on the Russian side may be in the range from 158,885 to 229 500 people. And if you add an estimated losses to units so-called “DPR” and “LPR”, we may think that the total number of dead from pro-Russian forces may be in the range of 180-253 thousand people.
Remember, according to the general staff of the armed forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the war, losses in Russia have exceeded 940 thousand military personnel killed and injured. On the day on April 18, nearly 1,200 Russians were “examined” in front.
