For the first time for more than 60 years, a drop of Russian oil did not enter the Czech Republic. The country has completely moved to be delivered through the modernized tal pipeline, finally turning away from the hope of the friendship pipeline.
The Czech Republic for the first time in history has completely stopped importing Russia’s oil. Thanks to expanding the capacity of the Western pipeline tal, the country has switched to the oil supply from alternative sources, especially from Italy. Čtk reported this on Thursday, April 17.
The first volumes of Non -russian oil have reached the port to the trieste to the central oil terminal in Nelagozeves, from which it is brought to the oil refinery in Litvinov. As the prime minister Peter Fial noted, the Czech Republic has finally completed the phase of energy hoping in Russia, which lasted more than 60 years.
After modernization, the tal pipeline can provide up to eight million tons of oil a year – it is completely sufficient to cover the needs of Czech refineries. Financial Minister Zinek Stanyura emphasized that the implementation of the Tal-Plus project worth 1.6 billion croons was funded from the revenue of the Mero čr Mero čr company.
Litvinov refinery oil is fully prepared for processing alternative oil mixtures. In recent years, more than 2000 modernizations have been held here, in particular, a pillar of vacuum distillation with half a billion kron has been replaced.
Orlen Unipetrol, belonging to the plant, is already waiting for new oil tanks, especially the Norwegian origin, for the incessant support of the Czech market.
Remember that despite a significant reduction in gas supply from Russia after 2022, the EU last year increased the import of liquid gas from the Russian Federation – it covers 19% of the needs of the European Union.
Earlier it was reported that the European Union had decided until 2027 to completely abandon Russia’s gas. Starting this year, the delivery will begin from a promise of Black Sea Field in Romania, the operator of which the first contract in Germany has ended.
