The General Headquarters of the Armed Forces explained the purpose of the resonant video “One report – one of them”, which today, April 16, was published on their pages on social networks by several state institutions.
The recent video published on our official resources has exclusively educational and educational goals to pay attention to all citizens, including military personnel, on the issue of information security in the war, in a message published on the General Personnel page on Facebook.
The General Staff added that they respect freedom of speech and are very appreciated by the contribution of journalists to the struggle of Ukraine for independence.
At the same time, we strongly recommend not to consider this material as a reproach or accusation against media representatives. Its goal is not to criticize, but to remind everyone: any information can have the consequences that the enemy uses in the General States.
The general personnel also promised that the video, “taking into account the comments on the design and recommendations,“ will be revised ”in order to additionally transfer the corresponding reservations to both civilians and military personnel.”
The video containing the slogan “One report is one line” shows a reporter, which, standing against the background of the building where drones are made, openly talks about this on the cell.
Subsequently, the videos show representatives of hostile special services, which, after watching the report, sent the coordinates of production to their employees to prepare the impact. After that, the rocket hit the building.
The Institute of the Media has already stated that he is seriously concerned about the publication of a video that transfers responsibility for Russian shelling for Ukrainian journalists. ”
Such a narrative is very dangerous and incorrect, because it undermines trust in the media, can jeopardize the life of the media and, as a rule, contradicts the democratic principles that Ukraine is obliged to protect even in military conditions, says Oksana Roman, IMI director. – This approach with the slogan “One report – one blow” in no way helps to improve information security. Unfortunately, this stigmatizes the journalistic profession of a journalist and creates the prerequisites for pressure on all the media that honestly perform their work for many years.
