The Pentagon gained control of the territories along the border of the United States and Mexico.
President Donald Trump released a directive to expand control over federal lands near the border with the US Mexican people. Thus, the leader of America seeks to strengthen efforts to combat illegal migration. This was reported by Bloomberg.
The head of the state instructed several ministers to transfer the jurisdiction of the US Department of Defense to federal lands along the border. Such territories include the reserve of Roosevelt, a red strip of land along the southwestern border in Arizona, New Mexico and California. The exceptions are only federal indigenous Americans.
It is noted that this will allow “performing military measures specified in this memorandum in military facilities” along the border.
The United States Army had the right to fulfill the task, “including the construction of border barriers and the placement of equipment for detection and monitoring.” The head of the Pentagon also received permission to expel migrants.
Bloomberg writes that these powers will be exercised in the “limited sector of federal lands”, which should be assessed 45 days after Friday.
It should be recalled that in January, the US border group was dismissed by drug militants from the controversial island of the pediment to the Rio Grand -River, which passes the border between Mexico and the United States of America.
