The former state financial service Roman Nasirov voluntarily mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the stage of judicial debate.
In this regard, the defense of Nasirova asks to stop the hearing in his case in a high anti -corruption court. This is about this, April 9, reports Transparency International Ukraine.
On April 9, 2025, the excluded DFS Roman’s Excuder did not arrive at the wax meeting. The defense noted that Nasirov was caused by armed forces during mobilization, so he could not come to court. He did it voluntarily. Also, on this basis, the defense submitted a request for a suspension, ”said Transparency International.
It is noted that the prosecutor objected to the suspension of the proceedings, since Nasirov’s call to the court must first be challenged, and he can also participate in the meetings remotely.
The court postponed this issue to collect information. The next scheduled meeting on April 11.
Nasirov’s case is already at the stage of judicial debate and is approaching the proposal:
- During the debate, the prosecutor managed to speak, and another accused Novikov has already begun;
- In the future, Nasirov himself had to perform in the debate, after which there should be the last word of the accused, and then the court had to go to the conference -call to pass the verdict.
In May 2024, the parliament allowed the release of convictions from serving their sentences in exchange for contract military service, but deprived such a right to higher corruption.
